Banana Leaf Restaurant

We are up on the third floor of Korum Mall. If you are coming from the Eastern Express Highway, you just take the turn at the Cadbury junction and we are right there. Being in a mall means it’s always a bit noisy with people shopping and kids running around. We started this place in Thane West because there wasn't much for people who wanted a proper South Indian meal while they were out at the shops. We have a lot of tables but on weekends it fills up pretty quick with families. The kitchen is always going, and you can smell the sambar and coffee from the hallway. We don’t go for anything too fancy with the decor, just simple stuff that’s easy to wipe down. Most of our staff have been here since we opened. We get a lot of people who work in the offices nearby coming in for lunch. It’s a convenient spot because of the parking in the mall and the location on Mangal Pande Road. Sometimes the mall music gets a bit loud, but that’s just how it is here. We try to get the food out as fast as we can so people can get back to their day. It’s just a regular restaurant where you can get a decent meal without too much fuss. We are glad to be a part of the local food scene here in Thane. We stay open until the mall closes up for the night.
