Asmi Masala

Asmi Masala is located at Plot No. 2 in Mistry Nagar, which is inside the Sai Nagar area of Vasai West. If you know where Parvati Cinema is, we are right behind it. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, but once you find the cinema, we’re easy to spot. We spend our days grinding and mixing various masalas. The shop is usually covered in a fine layer of red or yellow powder, no matter how much we sweep. That’s just the nature of the spice business. We have a couple of machines that have been with us for years. They make a lot of noise, but they get the job done right. Being in Vasai West means we have a lot of local customers who have been buying from us since we opened. We don't have any fancy packaging or big marketing plans. We just put the masala in plain bags and write the name on them. It's more about what's inside anyway. The area around Mistry Nagar gets pretty busy in the evenings when the movies are playing. We usually try to wrap up our work before the crowds get too thick. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s always someone around to chat with. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just work hard in our little corner behind the cinema and keep things moving every single day.
