Ellips Architects And Interiors

Our office is located at No.66/22/1 on Thulukkana Naicken Street in Chennai. We’ve been here for a good number of years, working under the name Ellips Architects And Interiors. It’s a typical Chennai street, busy and full of life, and our office is just a part of that fabric. We do a mix of things—some days it’s all about the interior look of a shop, and other days we are figuring out the foundation for a new house. It’s just a few of us here, and we handle everything from the first sketch to the final walk-through. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that; most people find out about us because they saw a house we worked on nearby. We try to keep our designs practical because the weather here in Tamil Nadu can be tough on buildings. You have to think about the heat and the rain before you think about anything else. We spend a lot of time talking to local masons and carpenters to make sure they understand the plans. Sometimes it’s a struggle to get everything perfect, but we do our best. The office is usually cluttered with tile samples and wood swatches. It’s a working environment, through and through. We just want to help our neighbors and local businesses get their spaces right without a lot of fuss or unnecessary expense. It's honest work for us.
