Architectural Design Studio

Architectural Design Studio is located at No. 1 D Block, No. 1, Shyam Foundation on North Jaganatha Road. We are very close to the Villivakkam Railway Station, so you can always hear the trains coming and going. It’s a sound we have grown used to over the years. Our studio is in the D Block, and it’s a pretty functional space. We have big tables for our drawings and a few old computers that have seen better days. Villivakkam is a busy area, and being near the station means there’s always a lot of movement outside our windows. Inside, we just focus on the design work. We have cabinets full of old projects and rolls of tracing paper everywhere you look. It’s not a polished or fancy place. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that. People just walk right into where we are working. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at site plans. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We don't use any of that corporate talk about being the best or having a vision. We just draw the plans and handle the local paperwork. It’s a steady rhythm of work that we’ve kept up for a while now. Most of our days are spent right here at Shyam Foundation, just getting the next drawing ready. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy and out of trouble.
