Our base is over at Shree Vishwakarma Society, right behind the Bhikshuk Gruh on Rander Road. It’s a well-known spot in Surat. We do a lot of the engineering support and work for the Essar Steel plant in Hazira. The commute to the plant can be long, so having the office here in Ramnagar is helpful for our planning. We aren't a big, fancy engineering firm with a glass building. Our office is just room 58 in the society. It’s full of tools, old manuals, and some computers for the drawings. Most of us are more comfortable in the workshop or at the site than sitting behind a desk. We spend a lot of time discussing technical problems and how to fix things at the steel plant. Rander Road is always humming with activity, and there’s always somewhere to grab a quick snack nearby. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the ins and outs of the Hazira industrial area. It’s hard work and it can be quite dusty, but it’s what we know. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people. We just explain what needs to be fixed and how we’re going to do it. The society is a quiet place to come back to after a long shift at the plant. It’s a practical setup for a group of engineers just trying to get the job done. We just keep things moving without any fuss.
