Shree Chamunda Tea Centre

You can find Shree Chamunda Tea Centre over in the Sradhdha Complex, right near the Kapodra Char Rasta. It’s a busy corner of Varachha Road, and things usually get moving pretty early in the morning for us. We spend most of our time brewing tea and getting things ready for the daily rush of workers and commuters. It’s a small spot, G/2, so there isn't a lot of room to sit, but people usually just grab their tea and stand around or head back to their shops. We go through a lot of milk and tea leaves every single day. It’s not a fancy cafe with comfortable chairs, it’s just a place where you get a hot cup of tea that tastes the same every time you come. The noise from the traffic at the junction is always there, but it’s just part of the atmosphere here at the 5th Cross. We’ve got our regulars who come in at the same time every day, and we usually know what they want before they even say it. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, especially when the weather is hot and the stove is going, but we like the pace of it. We just focus on keeping the pots full and the glasses clean for the next person. It’s a simple business with no big decorations or complicated menus. Just tea for people passing by.
