Our little spot is in the Navmangalam Complex, specifically shop G 13. It is on Vardhman Mahaveer Marg, which is part of the busy Citylight Road area in Surat. Being right opposite Agra Sweet means we often smell the frying and sugar from over there while we are working our shifts. It’s a crowded corner of the city. We have been here for a bit now, just managing the daily routine of opening up the shutters and checking the supplies. The space isn't huge, so things can get a bit cramped when we have more than a few people waiting for their stuff. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive lighting. Most of the stuff here is just practical and does the job. My staff and I mostly talk about the weather or how bad the parking situation is out front. It’s always a scramble for customers to find a spot on this road. We don't really have a big story to tell anyone. We just serve what’s on the menu and try to make sure the trash gets taken out on time so it doesn't smell. Sometimes we run out of napkins or a light bulb flickers, and we just deal with it as it happens. It is just a normal shop run by normal people who are usually tired at the end of the day but come back anyway.
