Devraj Tea Co.

Devraj Tea Co. is up in Amroli at B-304. We aren't a massive tea factory or anything like that. Our place is more about the raw tea leaves and getting the right mix for the local taste. When you walk into the room, the smell of dry tea is very strong and it stays on your clothes all day. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the batches that come in from the suppliers. There are bags of tea stacked up against the walls and a few scales for weighing everything out. It’s a simple setup with some basic machinery for packing. We don’t have a fancy tasting room, just a kettle and some cups in the corner where we try the tea ourselves to make sure it’s okay. The building in Amroli is a bit older and the stairs are quite narrow, which makes moving the heavy bags a bit of a workout. We mostly deal with local shops and people who know us from the area. It is honest work and there is something nice about handling a product that everyone uses every single morning. We don’t spend much on advertising or anything like that because the tea usually speaks for itself once someone tries a cup. It’s just us here, working through the piles of tea leaves and making sure the bags are sealed tight before they go out.
