Shashi Art

Shashi Art is located at Shop No. 10 in the Poonam Nagar Society. We are right on the corner where Bhatar Road and Ghoddod Road meet up. It is a good spot because we are right opposite Jivkor Nagar Society and really close to the Swami Vivekanand Garden. Often, you can see people walking their dogs or going for a jog in the garden while we are opening up the shop shutters in the morning. Our place is small but we have packed a lot of stuff into it over the years. There are brushes, paints, and frames everywhere you look. It is a bit messy, to be honest, but that is how we like to work. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who have been doing this for a long time. Sometimes customers come in just to chat about a project they have in mind or to show us something they found. We have an old wooden counter that has seen better days, but it is still sturdy. The light coming through the front window is the best part of the shop, especially in the late afternoons. We do not have a website or anything fancy; people mostly find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they are walking to the garden. We have lived in Surat our whole lives, so we know most of the families in the society nearby.
