You can find us over at 60 China Town, which is just a short distance from the Gayatri Mandir. This part of Rajendra Park Road is usually quite busy, especially in the evenings when people are heading home toward City Light Road. The shop itself is tucked away a bit, but we’ve got a decent amount of space once you step inside. It’s mostly just a collection of different things that seemed useful or interesting to stock at the time. We don't have a specific theme or anything, just shelves filled with everyday items and some things that might make for a nice gift. The floor has a few scratches from moving the display racks around over the years, but it doesn't bother anyone much. I spend a lot of time just organizing the smaller items so they don't get lost in the back of the drawers. It gets quite warm in here during the summer months, so we keep the fan going all day long. Most of the people who stop by are just locals living in the nearby apartments who need something quickly. We don't do much in terms of fancy displays; we just put the items out where they can be reached. It’s a quiet enough life, watching the traffic go by on City Light Road and chatting with the people who happen to wander in while they're out on their errands. Every now and then, the temple bells nearby remind us of the time, and we start thinking about closing up for the night.
