Priyanka Art

Priyanka Art is located at number 1 on Sorabji Santuk Lane in the Mangalam area. We are quite close to the old Vaishali Cinema, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Our shop is small and a bit tucked away, so you have to look for the sign when you turn into the lane. It’s a bit of an old building, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We have sketches and supplies scattered all over the place. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, so we’re always wiping down the counters. It’s just a few of us here, and we don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule. If someone walks in with a question, we just stop what we’re doing and chat for a bit. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though it gets hectic when we have a big project due. The lane is narrow, so it’s better if you don't try to bring a big car right to the door. We’ve been in this part of Surat for years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite the changes, we’ve stayed right here near the cinema. We don't have any fancy mission statements or big goals, we just like making things and being part of the local scene. It’s a simple life and that suits us just fine. There is always a stray cat sleeping near the front step.
