Sai Ganga Art

Our place is up on the 4th floor of Japan Market. Being on the 4th floor, we are a bit removed from the immediate noise of Ring Road, but you can still hear the city humming below us. We are near Delhi Gate, and the whole area is usually packed with people looking for textiles and other goods. Lord's Plaza Hotel is just nearby, so that helps people figure out where we are. Getting up to the shop usually involves a wait for the lift or a long walk up the stairs if you're feeling active. Sai Ganga Art is a modest space. We have some windows that look out over the rooftops of Surat, which is nice when you need a break for a minute. The office is filled with the usual things—desks, chairs, and piles of papers. It’s not a designer studio; it’s just where we work. The heat can get a bit trapped up here on the higher floors, so the fans are always spinning. We’ve been in Japan Market for quite a while now. You get used to the rhythms of the market—when it gets busy and when it finally slows down at night. We don't bother with fancy talk or big promises. We just open up, do the work, and deal with whatever comes our way. It’s just a regular business day for us.
