We are located out in Road No. 22 within the Hojiwala Industrial Estate. If you know Gate No. 3, we are right there at D-49/14. The workshop is usually quite loud with the machines running most of the day. Surat gets hot, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. There is always a lot of dust around here because of the construction and the other units nearby, but we try to keep our corner somewhat organized. It is just a handful of us working here. Most mornings start with checking what needs to be fixed or manufactured from the previous day’s list. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains that won't ever come out, no matter how much we scrub. We get our tea from the small stall just down the road near the main entrance. It is nothing fancy, just a practical place where things get made. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is annoying, but we just deal with it. The neighborhood is mostly industrial, so there are trucks coming and going at all hours. We have been in this spot for a while now and have seen the estate change quite a bit as new buildings go up. It’s a busy part of Sachin. We spend more time looking at blueprints and metal parts than anything else. That is just how the days go by for us here.
