Muralidhar Pan & Coldrinks

Our place, Muralidhar Pan & Coldrinks, is over at Patel Chember on Varachha Road, right across from the Savani Estate. It’s a good location on Kanakapura Main Road because there are always workers and people from the nearby offices walking by. The shop itself is number 23 and 24. We have racks of snacks and cold drinks filling up most of the wall space. The counters are a bit worn down from years of people leaning on them while they wait for their pan to be made. We keep the fridge stocked up as much as we can, especially when it gets hot outside and everyone is looking for something cold to drink. It’s a lot of standing and talking to people as they come and go. We know most of the regular guys who work across the street at the estate. They come over during their breaks to get away from their desks or the shop floor for a few minutes. The area is always noisy with the sound of bikes and cars zooming past on the main road, but it’s just part of the day for us. We keep things pretty informal here. There’s no dress code or fancy talk, just us helping out whoever walks in the door. By the time we close up at night, the bins are full and we’re ready to head home. We just do the work and come back the next day.
