Over in Dabholi, at units 26, 27, and 28, you’ll find us at Metal Cration. It’s a workshop, plain and simple. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a receptionist sitting at a desk. When you walk in, you’re likely to see sparks flying or hear the sound of a grinder working on a piece of steel. The floor is concrete and usually covered in bits of metal shavings. We work with our hands and we work hard. The weather in Dabholi can get really humid, which makes the shop feel like an oven sometimes, but the work doesn't stop. We started out with just one small unit and slowly took over the ones next door as we needed more space for our equipment. It’s not a polished operation. We have grease on our shirts and dirt under our fingernails most of the time. We don't spend any time on social media or making brochures. Most of our work comes from people who just know where we are and what we do. We take things as they come. Some days are incredibly busy with deadlines looming, and other days we’re just doing maintenance on the machines. It’s a straightforward life. We focus on the metal and making sure things are cut and joined correctly. There’s no room for fancy talk here, just the noise of the shop and the work itself.
