Our studio is at number 303-C in the Sanklap Sahanip Park area of Adajan. We are quite close to the Mahalaxmi Temple, which is a big local landmark. The space is filled with art supplies, canvases, and frames that are usually leaning against the walls. It isn't a pristine gallery like you might see in a magazine. It’s more of a working studio where paint gets on the floor and things are a bit cluttered. We spend our days sketching out ideas or working on specific pieces for people who have asked for them. The light in this part of Adajan is pretty good in the afternoons, which helps when we're trying to get the colors right. Sometimes we have people stop by just to see what we are working on, and we usually have some tea and a chat. It's a relaxed atmosphere, though we do have to work hard to keep up with everything. There isn't any corporate talk here, just talk about brushes and different types of paper. The noise from the street is always there, but once you start painting, you kind of tune it out. We like being near the temple because it feels like a good part of the neighborhood to be in. It's just a small place where we try to make things look nice and handle our daily business. Most days it's just a steady flow of work happening in this corner of the park.
