Laxmichand & Poonamchand

Laxmichand & Poonamchand is located out at Gokul Nagar, right near the Ring Road. That area gets a lot of wind sometimes because it’s so open. Our address is 822710. The shop is a decent size for what we need. We spend a lot of our time just sitting behind the counter or moving boxes from the front to the back. The Ring Road is always humming with noise from the bikes and the heavy trucks. It’s a bit different from being right in the center of town, but it works for us. We have a few lights that flicker occasionally, but we haven't gotten around to fixing them yet. People come in mostly because they live nearby or they're passing through on their way to somewhere else. We don't have a big sign with lights, just the name Laxmichand & Poonamchand. The floor is concrete and we sweep it every morning before the sun gets too high. It’s a honest kind of place. We don't use fancy computers for everything, mostly just pens and notebooks to keep track of what goes out the door. If you find yourself in Gokul Nagar, you’ll probably see our building. It’s got a bit of age to it now. We like it that way. It feels like home after all these years of working here every day. It's just a regular shop doing regular things on the Ring Road. We keep a jar of sweets on the counter for the kids who come in.
