Zalawadiya Ramji Bhai

I’ve been running things here as Zalawadiya Ramji Bhai for a long time. Our place is at B-4 on A K Road, inside the Kailash Apartment. It is quite close to Trikamnagar, so there are always people moving about outside. Being in an apartment building means things stay a bit more personal. You get to know the neighbors and the guys at the tea stall nearby. It’s a lived-in space, not one of those glass buildings you see in the new parts of the city. We have a few desks and some chairs, and that is about it. The fan hums all day, which helps when the afternoon heat kicks in. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stuff delivered, but we manage to find a spot for everything. I usually spend my morning checking the books and making sure everything is where it should be. People stop in because they know the name and they know where the building is. I don't go in for big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth seems to work just fine for us around here. If you’re looking for us, just head toward Kailash Apartment on A K Road. It’s a straightforward walk from the main crossing. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing every single day. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours and we are comfortable with how things go.
