Lalan Art

Our place is at No.97 Bharat Nagar. If you are coming from the main part of town, we are tucked away behind Ghanshyam Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze back here, to be honest. Bharat Nagar is a crowded area, but it’s where we’ve set up shop. Lalan Art isn't some high-end gallery with white walls. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. There is usually some paint on the floor and scraps of material in the corners. We like it that way because it shows we’re actually doing something. The neighbors are mostly families and other small shops, so you hear kids playing or people cooking while we’re working. It’s a very local vibe. We don’t have a fancy entrance, just a door that stays open most of the time to let the breeze in. It gets hot back here behind Ghanshyam Nagar, so we take breaks when it gets too much. Sometimes we sit outside and talk to the people walking by. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We focus on the art and the pieces we are creating without worrying about the polish of a corporate office. It’s a bit messy, a bit loud, and very real. We just make what we make and hope the neighborhood likes having us here. It’s a simple life at number 97 in Bharat Nagar and we are happy with it.
