Kailash Sweets & Snacks

Kailash Sweets & Snacks is over at Katargam Casa Blanca Lokand Wala G-1. It is a busy corner and we have been here for a while now. The name on the sign is Kailash Sweets & Snacks, and we have a lot of shelves filled with different containers. We spend most of our mornings preparing the snacks and arranging the sweets so they look decent behind the glass. The shop at G-1 is not huge, so things can get a bit tight when we have a lot of customers at once. Being in Katargam means we see a lot of people from the nearby houses and shops. We don't have a polished look or professional staff in uniforms. It's just us in our regular clothes, doing the work that needs to be done. Sometimes we forget to change the signs or the price tags right away, but people usually ask and we tell them. The Casa Blanca building is well known around here, so finding us isn't too hard. We deal with a lot of flour and sugar, so there is always a bit of a mess to clean up at the end of the shift. It's a lot of standing and lifting heavy trays, which makes our backs ache by the evening. We just keep going because this is our livelihood and we've been part of the Katargam community for a long time. There isn't much more to it than that, we just open the door in the morning and close it when we are done.
