About Maa Krupa Pasti Bhandar – Food & Beverages in Surat
The shop is located in Adajan Dn 4 and we mainly deal with what people do not want anymore. Old newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes, and scrap metal are what fill up our space. We have a big weighing scale that gets a lot of use every single day. People come by with bundles tied up with string, and we weigh them out to give them a bit of cash for their junk. It is a dusty business, honestly. There is always paper dust in the air and the smell of old ink. We spend a lot of time sorting through things because you cannot mix the plastic with the paper if you want to move it along properly. Some days the piles get so high we can barely see the back wall. We have been doing this in Adajan for a while, and the neighbors know us as the place to bring their stacks of papers at the end of the month. It isn't a complicated business, just simple buying and selling of scrap. Sometimes we find interesting things tucked inside old books, like photos or old notes, but mostly it is just everyday waste. We keep the shop open pretty regular hours, and there is usually a truck coming or going to take the sorted stuff away. It is just honest work, keeping things moving and recycling what can be used again. We do not have a big sign, just the piles of paper.
