Our office for G M Sugar Pvt Ltd is located over at 1 Varachha Road, right behind the Geetanjali Petrol Pump. It’s an interesting spot because we are near Nariman Point and Marine Drive West on E Road, which are busy areas with a lot of people moving around. Being tucked behind the petrol pump means we get a lot of the smell of fuel and the sound of cars pulling in and out all day. The building isn't new, and you can see the wear and tear on the stairs and the walls. We handle the sugar trade, so there is always a lot of talk about prices and shipments going on in the office. It can get pretty loud when everyone is on the phone at the same time. We don't have fancy furniture; it's mostly just functional desks and old filing cabinets that have been here since we started. There is a small window that looks out towards the back, but there isn't much of a view. We focus on getting the contracts signed and making sure the sugar moves from the producers to where it needs to go. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, day in and day out. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished office or fancy marketing. We just want to get the business handled properly so everyone can go home at a decent hour. No flashy stuff here.
