Jay Ambe Tea & Farsan

It gets pretty busy here on Varachha Road. We spend most of our mornings getting the tea ready and laying out the different farsan for people stopping by. It’s a small place in Thavarakere 1, nothing too fancy to look at really. Most folks just know us as Jay Ambe Tea & Farsan. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Some days the stove doesn't want to start right away but we get it going. It’s mostly just us making sure there is enough for everyone who walks in. The tea stays hot in the big pots and we try to keep the snacks fresh on the counter. You can usually smell the spices from a bit down the street when the wind is right. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just find us while they're out and about or heading to work. The chairs aren't the most comfortable but they do the job for a quick sit. Sometimes we run out of certain things before the afternoon hits. That's just how it goes here. We keep things simple because that's what works for us and the neighbors. It’s noisy outside with the traffic but inside it’s just the sound of the kettle. If you are near Varachha Road, you might see the sign. It’s just a regular shop doing what we do every day. There is no big secret to it. We just open up and start the work.
