Our shop is right on Balaji Road, tucked into the street near the girls' high school. If you know the Bhagal area, you've probably walked past us a dozen times. We're at number 9/953. It’s a busy part of Surat, so there’s always noise from the street coming in. We do various kinds of art work and signs. It’s mostly hand-done or small-scale stuff. The space is a bit cramped because we have materials sitting everywhere, but we know where everything is. People stop by on their way to the temple or school. Sometimes it’s just for a small job, other times it’s something bigger for a local shop. We’ve been at this for a good number of years now. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and see who comes through the door. The humidity in Surat can be a pain for the paint sometimes, so we have to be careful with how things dry. It’s a simple living. We don’t use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just make things. If you’re near Balaji Hanuman Street, you’ll see our door open. We usually have some tea around if the day is slow. It’s a local business, through and through. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep busy with whatever the neighbors need. Sometimes the monkeys on the roof make a lot of noise, but we just ignore them and keep painting.
