Harihar Collections

We open up the shop at Khatodara Ghantakarna Market every morning. Number 501 is where you find us. It gets busy here with all the bags and bundles moving around. We spend most of the day sorting through what came in. Sometimes the lights flicker but we just keep going. It’s a lot of folding and tagging things. People come in and out looking for specific items, and we try to remember where everything stayed. My hands get dusty from the fabric. It’s just how it is. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The tea guy comes by around eleven. We talk to the neighbors about the weather or the traffic outside. It's not a fancy place, just shelves and boxes everywhere. We try to keep it organized but during the rush, things get a bit messy. Usually, we are drinking water from the steel jug while waiting for the next person to walk in. The fan makes a clicking noise that we stopped noticing years ago. It’s just work. We pack stuff, we unpack stuff. That is the whole day at Harihar Collections. If the phone rings, someone usually picks up eventually. We just do our bit here in the market. The floor is concrete and we sweep it twice a day but the lint always comes back. We don't mind. It's part of the trade. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready for the folks who rely on us.
