Kalakruti Art

Kalakruti Art is tucked away on the 1st floor of the Sargam Complex. We are at 7 Varachha Road, right on the 21st Main. You have to walk up the stairs to find us. Once you get inside, it’s a bit different from the busy street outside. We have all sorts of supplies and finished pieces sitting around. It’s a creative space, so it isn't always perfectly tidy. We might have scraps of paper or bits of materials on the tables. We don't really have a front desk person; usually, whoever is working just looks up and says hello. People come up to the Sargam Complex when they want to see what we're making or if they need something specific created. We spend a lot of time just working with our hands. It's quiet work mostly, unless the radio is on. Varachha Road can be pretty loud with all the traffic, but up on the first floor, it feels a bit more removed. We’ve been doing this for a while now. We don't have a glossy brochure or a big sales pitch. We just show people what we’ve done and let them decide. It’s just us here at Kalakruti Art, making things one at a time. If you’re around the 21st Main, you can find the stairs and come see the workshop. We’re usually here during the day just getting through the latest project we started.
