Centre Point

Being at Surat Station Road means there is never really a quiet moment from morning until night. We are at number 5, right where the crowds are always moving. People are always rushing past to catch a train or just getting into the city for their work. We named the place Centre Point because it really feels like we are right in the middle of everything happening in Surat. We sell a bit of this and a bit of that. It is the kind of shop where someone stops in because they forgot to pack something for their long trip. The lights are always on and the front door stays open to the street. It gets a bit dusty with all the people and the motorcycles passing by outside. We do not have a big corporate story to tell anyone. We just opened up here because it seemed like a good spot to reach people who are on the move. There is no air conditioning in here, just a couple of old fans that hum all day long. Sometimes we talk to travelers who are just passing through and have a few minutes to spare before their train leaves. Other times it is just the locals we see every single day. The shelves are a bit crowded and we might not have the prettiest displays, but we usually have exactly what people are looking for. It is a busy life.
