Better Homes

Better Homes is out on Ring Road in Sector 3. It is a big area with a lot of noise from the trucks passing by. We have a lot of stuff for houses packed into this space. It is not always the most organized place, to be honest. We have aisles filled with different things, and sometimes you have to move a box to see what is behind it. I spend a lot of time walking around with a clipboard checking what we have left. The lighting inside is a bit dim in the back corners, but we know where everything is kept. People come in looking for things to fix up their flats. We talk to them about what might fit and what won't. It is a practical kind of job. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. We eat our lunch in the small room near the back door. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the wind coming off the main road. We try to keep the front tidy, but with people coming in and out, the dirt just follows them. It is a solid building, though. We’ve been through many seasons here. The roof leaked a little last monsoon, but we got that patched up before it caused trouble. We just keep doing what we do every day in Sector 3.
