Cafe Coffee Day

Our place is in Surat and it is called Cafe Coffee Day. It is a spot where people come to sit for a while and have a cup of coffee. We have tables and chairs set up so folks can talk or maybe do some work on their phones. It gets a bit busy in the afternoons when the sun is hot and people want to get out of the heat for a bit. We spend our shift making different kinds of coffee and cleaning up the tables after people leave. It is not like a small roadside stall because we have a bit more space inside. We see all kinds of people here. Some are students and some are older people just looking for a quiet corner. We keep the music playing in the background but not too loud. The smell of coffee beans is pretty much everywhere in the room. We have to keep track of the milk and the sugar and make sure we don't run out. It is a regular job for us. We wear our uniforms and try to keep the place looking decent. Surat is a big city so there are always new faces coming through the door. We don't do much besides making the drinks and keeping the floor swept. It is a simple place to spend an hour or two if you are in the area. We just try to keep things moving along smoothly.
