Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day is located at Sadadvel Survey No 64. It is a bit different from the ones you see in the big malls in the city. We are out here where the road is a bit quieter sometimes. The building is simple and we have the usual tables and chairs for people to sit at. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a bit of a rattling noise, but it keeps the place cool enough for the customers. We spend the day making coffee and cleaning the mugs in the back. The staff is just a few of us from the local area. We wear the uniforms but they get wrinkled pretty fast during the shift. We see people stopping by on their way through Sadadvel. They are usually looking for a place to sit and rest their legs for a few minutes. The menu is what it is. We follow the steps for the drinks as we were taught. Sometimes the milk delivery is late and we have to wait around for the truck to arrive. The windows get some dirt on them from the trucks passing by on the road outside. We wipe them down when we can. It is not a very busy spot all the time, so we have moments where it is just us and the sound of the fridge humming. We do not have any big speeches about coffee. It is just a place to get a hot or cold drink. We keep the place as tidy as we can for everyone.
