You can find Balaji Property Broker over on Varachha Road at Gl 12. It’s a small office where we deal with local real estate. There are always maps pinned to the walls and notebooks full of addresses on the desks. We don’t have any of those fancy digital screens; we just talk to people and write things down. The traffic on Varachha Road is pretty much constant, so there’s always a hum of vehicles in the background. We started this because we know the area well and wanted to help people find places to stay or work. It’s just a few of us here. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. Most days it’s just jeans and a shirt. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking around to look at different properties. The office is a bit cluttered with folders, and the tea guy comes by twice a day. We don’t have a big mission statement. We just try to keep track of who is selling and who is looking. It’s a simple job but it takes a lot of time to get everything right. People stop by to chat about the prices in the neighborhood or just to see what’s available. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and we know most of the landlords around here. It’s a basic setup, but it works for us and the people we help. We keep a ledger of every house we've visited. The door stays open to let a breeze in.
