I started B M Estate Agent here in Surat because I know the streets pretty well. Our office is right opposite Madhini Khana, which is a busy area with a lot of history. Most of my day is spent sitting at my desk, talking to people on the phone, or waiting for someone to drop by to ask about a property. It’s not a big corporate real estate firm. It’s just me and sometimes a friend helping out. I spend a lot of time walking around the nearby neighborhoods looking at different buildings. The office itself is small and has just the basics, a few chairs, a desk, and a lot of files. I don't use any fancy software, just a notebook and my memory for most things. The traffic near Madhini Khana is always moving, and you can hear the horns all day long. I usually have a few cups of tea while I wait for clients. People come to me when they want to find a place to live or a shop to rent. I don't promise anything crazy or use big words. I just tell them what is available and what the price is. Sometimes a deal goes through and sometimes it doesn’t, that’s just how it works. I’ve lived in Surat my whole life, so I’ve seen how the prices have gone up and down over the years. I just try to be helpful to anyone who walks in.
