Ambica Super Stores

Ambica Super Stores is situated at Adajan Dn 10, and it is the kind of place where you can find almost anything for the house. We have rows of plastic buckets, stainless steel plates, and all the grocery items you would expect. The aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit so much stock in there, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over with your elbows. I spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates on the milk and bread that comes in fresh every morning. Adajan is a nice area, and we see the same faces coming in every couple of days for their tea leaves or snacks. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, and one of the tubes usually flickers a little, but it does the job. We have a couple of guys helping with the heavy lifting when the flour bags arrive. The billing counter is right by the door, and it usually has a stack of cardboard boxes nearby for people who buy a lot at once. We do not use fancy scanners for everything, sometimes we just know the prices by heart. It stays busy during the evening hours when everyone is coming back from work and realizes they have no salt or oil left in the kitchen. We just keep the shelves filled and make sure there is enough change in the drawer for the next person in line.
