Sahaj Super Store Pvt.Ltd.

We’ve been running Sahaj Super Store Pvt.Ltd. out of Sahaj House on Anand Mahal Road for a good while now. Adajan is always such a busy place, and being right on the main road means there’s never a quiet moment. Most of our day is spent just unpacking crates of milk or stacking bags of rice. It’s not a fancy job, and the store gets pretty cramped when the evening rush starts. We have a couple of guys who help with the deliveries, and we usually have our tea in the small space behind the counter. The floors get dirty fast with everyone coming in from the dusty street, so someone is always sweeping. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything like that. People just know we’re here because they walk past us every day on their way home. Sometimes the billing software freezes up right when the line is longest, which is a real headache. We just try to get the customers what they need and keep the change ready. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy boxes and making sure nothing is past its date. My nephew helps out after his college classes, mostly with the inventory. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in town, just a place where you can get your groceries without too much fuss. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full blast.
