If you ever find yourself in the Bhagal area, you know how crowded it gets, especially near the Surat Mahila Bank. Seema Super Stores is right in the middle of that chaos at No-7/8 Balaji Market. We’ve been on Balaji Road for a long time, watching the city grow and the traffic get thicker every single year. The store isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high to make everything fit. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people come in at once, but we make it work. We spend most of our time chatting with the regulars who come in for their daily needs. Being in Balaji Market means there is never a dull moment; there is always someone shouting or a scooter horn honking right outside the door. Seema Super Stores is a family-run kind of place, where we know which neighbor likes which brand of tea. We don't have any of those fancy scanners or bright lights you see in the big malls. It’s just us, some wooden counters, and a lot of stock. When the sun starts to set over Bhagal, the market gets even busier with people heading home from work. We usually stay open until the very last person leaves the street. It’s tiring, sure, but it’s what we know, and we wouldn't know what else to do with our time. Every evening we count the change and lock up the heavy metal shutters.
