We got the company going because we wanted a way to buy things like fertilizer in bulk and save a little money for everyone. It’s also much easier to talk to the big buyers when we’re all together rather than going one by one. There’s no marketing department or anything like that here. We just write things down in our registers and hope the rains come when they are supposed to. Sometimes we have to travel to the local mandi to check on prices, which takes up a lot of the day.
