Delhi Public School

We are located over in Shiekhpura, which is right in the Hyderpora area of Budgam. Most days start pretty early around here because the buses have to get through the narrow parts of the road before the traffic really kicks in. It is a big building but it feels like a regular place once you walk inside. The staff usually gets here around eight and we spend some time getting the registers ready or just finishing up a cup of tea before the bell goes. Budgam can get quite cold in the winters so we spend a lot of time making sure everyone stays warm enough in the rooms. There is a lot of noise when the kids are moving between classes, especially near the main entrance. We keep the grounds as clean as we can, but with so many people coming through every day, it is a constant job. The neighborhood around 190014 is mostly quiet residential houses, so we try not to let the loudspeakers go for too long. If you ever come by, you’ll see the gate with the name on it and usually a few people waiting for the afternoon shift to end. It is just a school where we do our work and try to keep things running smoothly without too much fuss. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when there is an event, but mostly it is just the same routine year after year for all of us.
