Flaming Chilli Pepper

Flaming Chilli Pepper is located at 1249, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg in Vasant Kunj. We are directly opposite Fortis Hospital, so we get a lot of people coming over from there. Some are staff members taking a break, and others are folks visiting people at the hospital. It is a busy stretch of road in Delhi and there is always a lot of traffic passing by. The kitchen here is small but we make it work. We chose this spot because it seemed like a good place to reach people in Vasant Kunj. We don't have a polished look or expensive furniture. It is just a functional space where we cook and serve food. The name sounds a bit spicy, which fits what we do in the kitchen. Every morning we start by getting the supplies in and cleaning the floors. It is just a few of us running the whole show. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the food is hot and ready when people walk in. Delhi summers are quite brutal, so the kitchen gets very hot, but we stay open regardless. We have been here for a while and we have seen the neighborhood change a bit. It’s a lot of long hours and hard work, but we are happy to be part of the local scene here.
