Eggspectation-Resto Caf

You can find us inside the Jaypee Vasant Continental building over in Vasant Vihar. It’s a busy area in New Delhi, and being inside the hotel means we see a lot of different people coming through. We focus on eggs, mostly because they’re easy and people seem to like them at all hours. It’s a bit more formal than a roadside stall since we’re in the hotel, but we try to keep it relaxed. The kitchen staff stays busy during the morning rush. We have tables set up so you can sit and have a coffee while you wait. Vasant Vihar is a fancy neighborhood, but we try to keep the atmosphere sensible. We don't do much in the way of big decorations. The menu has plenty of options, though eggs are the main thing we do. It’s 110057 if you’re looking at a map. Sometimes it gets crowded on the weekends when families come in for a late breakfast. We do our best to get the food out while it's still hot. Some people stay for an hour, others just grab a quick bite and leave. We’ve been here for a bit now and we know the regulars' orders. It’s a steady kind of life here. The lighting is okay and the music isn't too loud. Just a regular cafe doing its job in a big hotel. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just cooking.
