F I O Country Kitchen & Bar

We are tucked away in the Garden of Five Senses in Delhi. If you go to Saiyad Ul Ajaib and look for Gate No-1, we are right there. It’s a bit of a different vibe compared to the rest of the city because there are so many trees and plants around us. We call it a country kitchen because we wanted it to feel like you’ve left the crowded streets for a bit. There is an outdoor area which is nice when the weather isn't too hot, though the Delhi summer can be tough. We have a bar too, so people come out here to spend their evenings. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but most people don't mind. We put out lanterns at night which makes the garden look pretty. The staff is mostly local guys who have worked in the area for a long time. We don't try to be too formal. If a leaf falls on your table while you're eating outside, that’s just part of being in the garden. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the leaves and keeping the bugs away. It’s a lot of work to maintain a place in the middle of all this greenery. People come here for dates or just to have a quiet dinner away from the traffic noise. We are just doing our best to keep the place running and making sure the food is decent. It’s a peaceful spot in a busy city.
