Manovikas English Medium School

Our school is located in the Amrutnagar area of Sonsoddo in Fatorda. It’s a place that’s been around for quite a while now. The building isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular school where people come to work and kids come to learn. Every morning, the road outside gets a bit busy with parents dropping off their children. We have classrooms with old wooden desks that have been used by many students over the years. Some of the windows don't close perfectly, and the rain in Goa can be quite heavy, so we sometimes get a bit of water on the floor. The teachers here are just regular people who live nearby. We spend our time going through the lessons and checking the homework. There is a playground but it’s mostly just dirt and some grass at the edges. During the break, it gets very loud with all the kids running around. We don't have any big high-tech systems here. It’s mostly just chalk and blackboards and a lot of talking. Parents come by often to ask about their kids or to drop off a lunch box that was forgotten at home. It’s a very local kind of place. We know the families in the neighborhood well. It’s a simple life here, just getting through the school year and making sure everyone does their work. That’s pretty much how things go at Manovikas English Medium School.
