Popular High School

Margao is a place with a lot of history and Comba is one of those old neighborhoods where everyone seems to know each other. Popular High School is right there in the heart of it. The streets are a bit narrow around here so it gets really crowded when school lets out in the afternoon. You can hear the noise from the classrooms if you walk by on the sidewalk during the day. We have a playground that isn't huge but the kids make it work for football or just running around during their break time. The building itself is an older style, typical of Goa, with thick walls that keep things a little cooler when the sun is hitting hard in the summer. Our address is Comba, Margao, Goa - 403601. We get a lot of heavy rain during the monsoon season and the metal roof sometimes makes a lot of noise, but we are used to it by now. The morning assembly happens in the courtyard and you can hear the singing from a few blocks away. It’s a very local feel here. Most of the staff live within walking distance or take a short scooter ride through the winding streets. We don't have a lot of fancy new equipment, just the basics like chalk and books and chairs. People in Margao have been sending their kids here for years because it’s just the school down the road. It’s a busy, loud, and honest kind of place to be every single day.
