Vee Jay Coir & Carpets

Our office is tucked away in B-4 of the housing society in NDSE-I. It’s an older part of South Extension, and it feels more like a home than a corporate building. We deal with coir and carpets, so there’s always that specific earthy smell in the air when you walk in. Sometimes the rooms feel small because we have rolls of samples leaning against the walls. We’ve been at this for quite some time now. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big signs. Most people find us because they’ve heard about us from someone else. The day starts around ten, usually with a lot of dust from the morning breeze. We spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to people about textures and sizes. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around to show people what we have. Sometimes the tea lady comes by and we take a break. We don't have a rigid system here. If someone needs something, we just look through our stock until we find it. It's a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it's the way we've always operated. NDSE can be a bit chaotic with the parking and the narrow lanes, but our little corner is usually steady. We just focus on the carpets and the coir, making sure the orders are right before they go out the door. It's a lot of looking at patterns and checking measurements, day in and day out.
