Touchwood India has its home at E-23 in South Extension, Part-I. If you have ever been to South Ex, you know how the parking is always a nightmare and the streets are packed with people looking for one thing or another. Our office is tucked away in there, and it’s a place where we spend most of our waking hours. It smells a bit like old paper and sometimes wood polish, depending on what we are working on that week. We are not a giant company with hundreds of people; it’s just a handful of us trying to keep things moving. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the day-to-day tasks to worry about that. We have a lot of files piled up and the phones never seem to stop ringing at the most inconvenient times. We don’t have a flashy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we handle our business. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the weather or the news, and other days it is a complete rush from the moment we open the doors. We just take it as it comes. Being in a place like South Extension means you see all sorts of people, and that keeps things interesting enough for us to keep coming back every day. It is a small spot but it keeps us busy.
