Studio B

You can find us at F-12/3 in Malviya Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find the door, you’re in. Studio B isn’t a huge place, just a decent-sized space where we get the work done. There are sketches taped to the walls and pins all over the floor if you aren’t careful where you step. We do a lot of the cutting and measuring right here on the long wooden benches. It’s always a bit noisy with the machines running in the background. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People just walk in and we are usually busy with a tape measure around our necks. Malviya Nagar is a crowded spot, so there is always someone shouting outside or a bike zooming by. We’ve been in this building for a bit, and the walls are starting to show their age, but it works for what we need. We handle a lot of different patterns every day. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, drinking tea and trying to get the seams just right. It is a lot of manual work. We don’t use any of those high-tech automated systems; it is mostly just hands and eyes on the fabric. It is honest work, and we like the neighborhood. Most of the time, it is just us and the sound of the needles hitting the plate.
