Steppe Impex Private Limited

Steppe Impex Private Limited is located at Je-27 in the Khirkee Extension of Malviya Nagar. This part of Delhi is very crowded and the lanes are narrow and wind around quite a bit. Our office is in a plain building and we've been here for about three years now. We deal with importing various goods, mostly small parts for machines and some household items that we sell to local shops. The office is just two rooms. One is for the three of us to sit and work, and the other is packed to the ceiling with boxes that have just arrived. It often feels a bit cramped, especially when a new shipment comes in and we have to sort through everything. We spend a lot of our time on the computer, checking where our containers are and dealing with all the paperwork for the port authorities. Sometimes things get stuck in customs for weeks and it’s a real headache for us. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of money. We are just a small group of people trying to make this import business work. We usually get our lunch from the local dhabas in Khirkee and eat at our desks while we talk about our families. The office isn't much to look at, but it’s where we get our work done. We hope to stay here for a long time and maybe get a bigger storage space someday when we can afford it.
