Rajkumar Pan Shop

Rajkumar Pan Shop is situated at Hauz Khas E 18. This neighborhood has a lot of history and we are just one small part of it. Our shop is easy to miss if you are walking too fast. It is a simple setup with a wooden front and some shelves. We’ve been here at E 18 since I can remember. The street gets a lot of visitors because of the nearby parks and the old buildings. We see many young people and tourists, but our main business comes from the locals who live here. They stop by every day on their way back from the market. We keep the shop open late because that is when most people like to come out for a walk. The air in Hauz Khas feels a bit different than the rest of the city. We have a small fan that whirrs all day long to keep the air moving. My son helps out on the weekends when he isn't busy with his own things. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People just know where we are. We try to keep everything organized, but it gets a bit messy when we are busy. That is just how it goes. We are happy to be a part of this community. Every day is a little different, even if the work is mostly the same. We take the shutters down around midnight and start again the next afternoon.
