Rajkumar General Store

In the middle of Okhla Industrial Estate Phase I, you'll find Sanjay Colony. That’s where we are, at C-264. Rajkumar General Store isn't anything fancy. It’s a place where workers from the nearby factories come to get what they need. We have snacks, soap, cold drinks, and whatever else people ask for. The shelves are a bit disorganized, but we know where everything is. It’s a dusty part of town because of all the trucks and the construction. We have to sweep the floor three or four times a day. The shop is small and the light isn't very bright. We have an old fridge that makes a loud humming noise all day. People come in with dirt on their clothes from a long shift, looking for a quick bite or something to take home. The metal door at C-264 is heavy and loud. We have a small corner where we keep our own lunch boxes. Working in the industrial estate means you get used to the noise and the grit. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who take turns behind the counter. C-264 is a busy spot because of the location. We don't do any promotion. The people who work in Phase I know we are here. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy logo. We just provide what’s needed for the people in the colony.
