Overseas Impex

Our place, Overseas Impex, is located at A-253 in Phase I of the Okhla Industrial Area. This part of Delhi is always moving, with trucks coming in and out at all hours. We have a modest space here that serves as our main office and store. It’s not a very pretty building, but it’s practical for what we do. We deal with various imported items that come through the ports. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking the latest arrivals. The desks are usually piled high with customs documents and invoices. It’s a bit of a headache sometimes, dealing with the delays and the red tape, but we’ve been doing it long enough to know the ropes. We have a small staff, mostly people who have been with us since we opened. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on the contacts we’ve made over the years. If you visit, you might find us sitting around a small table having lunch together between calls. The air in Okhla is a bit heavy with the factory smoke, but this is where the business happens. We just try to keep our inventory moving and make sure the boxes are stacked safely. There isn't any magic to it, just showing up every day and handling whatever comes our way to keep the business running.
