Olive Bar & Kitchen

We’re located on the second floor of T-71, on the right side of the building. It’s in the Khdki Extension area of Malviya Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you’ve never been here before. We work for Olive Bar & Kitchen, but this is more of the back-end side of things. Downstairs it’s all busy with the kitchen and people eating, but up here it’s just us with the computers and the bills. The office gets quite warm in the summer, even with the air conditioning trying its best. We can hear the noise from the street all day long. Malviya Nagar is a really crowded part of New Delhi, and there’s never enough parking. Most of us take the metro or a rickshaw to get to work. We spend a lot of time checking receipts and talking to the kitchen staff about what supplies they need. It’s a lot of coordination. There’s always someone running up and down the stairs with a clipboard or a delivery note. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and some notes taped up. It feels like a real working space, a bit messy but we know where everything is. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks and then everyone is a bit grumpy until it’s fixed. We just keep things moving as best as we can every day. It's a busy life here.
